Privacy policy
Who we are
Luxe Consulting provides paralegal, research and administrative support to Australian legal practices. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Luxe Habitat Pty Ltd trading as Luxe Consulting, 17A Hender Avenue, Klemzig SA 5087. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Enquiries and business contacts: your name, firm, work email, phone number and the details you send us about a task.
- Client work: when a law firm engages us, our team may access personal information in that firm's files, such as information about its clients. We handle it only on the firm's instructions and under our agreement with the firm.
- Website use: this site stores your last-viewed practice area in your own browser. It does not use advertising cookies.
How we use it
We use enquiry details to reply to you, prepare quotes and manage our business relationship. We use client-file information only to carry out the work a firm has instructed, and for no other purpose.
Disclosure, including overseas
Our delivery team is located outside Australia, in India. Personal information in client files is accessed by that team through secure remote access to the client firm's own systems, under written confidentiality and data processing agreements. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to our service providers (such as email and hosting providers) or where the law requires it.
Security
We use access controls, confidentiality deeds signed by every team member, and work inside client systems rather than keeping copies of client files. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected firms promptly so notification obligations can be met.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing hello@luxeconsulting.com.au or calling 0423 775 975. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page.
